FAQ
1. About the products
Materials, process, references, care, and product system.
Are Lulé Lulé Bags bags made of genuine leather?
Yes. Every Lulé Lulé Bags piece is made from 100% genuine premium leather. The founder personally selects each leather batch before it enters the workshop, evaluating texture, thickness, how it absorbs light, and durability. We do not use synthetic materials or low-grade leather. The leather you see in our pieces is the same leather the founder would choose to wear herself every day.
Where does the leather in your bags come from?
The leather used in Lulé Lulé Bags comes from Colombian tanneries, selected directly by the founder. Colombia has a deep tradition in artisan leatherwork and leathergoods — particularly in Medellín and its surroundings — and that local knowledge is an essential part of what makes each piece special. The selection of materials is never delegated: the founder chooses every leather in person, batch by batch.
How are Lulé Lulé Bags made?
Every Lulé Lulé bag is made by hand in the brand's own workshop in Medellín, Colombia. The process includes cutting the leather, structural assembly, artisan stitching, and final finishing — all carried out by a specialized artisan team. We do not use industrial mass production. Collections are kept small by conviction: making fewer pieces with more care is the only way to guarantee the quality that defines the brand.
What is the difference between the O.G. Bag, the Reptilia Bag, and the Hendrix Bag?
All three are iconic Lulé Lulé Bags designs, each created to solve a specific need of the founder. The O.G. Bag is the original piece — large, structured, designed to carry a laptop and serve as the only bag you need, in any context. The Reptilia Bag features a special leather texture with a more dramatic, visual character. The Hendrix Bag was designed with a freer, more expressive silhouette. All three are premium leather, handmade in Medellín, and built around the same principle: if the founder wouldn't wear it with pride, it doesn't exist.
How big is the O.G. Bag? Does a laptop fit?
The O.G. Bag was designed specifically to carry a laptop without a conventional briefcase or backpack. It is a large, structured bag with real capacity for a full day: laptop, documents, planner, and all the everyday essentials of an active professional woman.

Do the bags have interior pockets?
Lulé Lulé Bags are designed with real functionality — each design has an interior organization built around the founder's daily use.
Do Lulé Lulé Bags come in different colors?
Yes. Color is a central part of Lulé Lulé Bags' identity. The brand works with two types of colors: line colors, which are the most versatile and consistently best-selling, and bold colors, special editions that drive image and desire for the brand. When a bold color launches, units are limited. Small collections ensure that no color becomes mass-market — each piece keeps its exclusivity.
Can I mix pieces from different Lulé Lulé Bags collections?
Yes — and that is a real advantage of the Lulé Lulé Bags product system. The designs, accessories, and the Duo Bag are built to be combined across collections and across colors. This means a new piece can give a completely different life to something you already own. That is the brand's mix system: you don't need to replace, you can renew.
How do I care for and maintain my Lulé Lulé bag?
Quality leather ages with dignity when it is properly cared for. To keep your Lulé Lulé bag in the best condition: wipe it with a dry or lightly damp cloth for everyday dust; apply a leather conditioner every 2 to 3 months to prevent drying; avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heavy rain; and store it in its dust bag when not in use. A well-cared-for Lulé Lulé bag lasts for years — and gets better with time.
Does the leather scratch or deteriorate with everyday use?
Quality natural leather develops a patina with use that makes it more beautiful, not more worn. Small traces of use are part of the character of genuine leather. What should not happen is drying or loss of structure, both of which are prevented with regular conditioning. Lulé Lulé stitching is built not to give: five years later, it's still the bag you reach for.
2. About the brand
Who we are, what makes us different, our history, and the founder.
Who are you and where are you based?
Lulé Lulé Bags is a Colombian premium leather bag brand founded in 2018 in Medellín, Colombia. The brand was born when the founder — a publicist and creative director with a career in Colombian and international brands — needed a specific bag for her professional life and couldn't find it anywhere. Without knowing anything about bag-making, she went to Medellín's leather suppliers, found someone who could bring her vision to life, and made the first four pieces. She sold them all on the first day. Today, we operate from Medellín with active customers in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Miami, and Costa Rica.
What makes Lulé Lulé Bags different from other bag brands?
Lulé Lulé Bags stands apart in three ways no other brand can exactly replicate: the design method, the production, and the connection. Every design comes from a real need of the founder — not from market research or trends. Production is entirely artisan, in the brand's own workshop in Medellín, with leathers hand-selected batch by batch. And the relationship with customers is direct: the founder is present in every design decision, in the content, and in the communication. That is not a brand statement — it is the real model from day one.
Does the founder of Lulé Lulé Bags design every piece?
Yes. Manuela Restrepo Henao designs every piece, personally selects the leathers, and is the face, voice, and model of the brand. There is no separate design team, and the aesthetic judgment is never delegated. The design filter is clear and hasn't changed since 2018: if she wouldn't wear it with pride and authenticity, it doesn't exist. That consistency — between who designs, what she designs, and why — is what gives every Lulé Lulé piece its own character.
Is Lulé Lulé Bags a Colombian luxury brand?
Lulé Lulé Bags is a Colombian artisan premium leather brand. We don't use the word 'luxury' to mean a visible logo or restricted access — we use the concept of knowing luxury: the satisfaction of owning something made with real craft knowledge, from quality materials, that lasts for years and improves with use. Luxury as discernment, not as display. The brand's tagline says it plainly: Artisan Knowledge. Knowing Luxury.
Which countries do you ship to?
Lulé Lulé Bags has active customers in Colombia (home market), Puerto Rico, the United States, and other countries around America. The brand operates entirely online — without a physical store — and ships to these markets regularly. International growth has been entirely organic, driven by direct word-of-mouth among women with similar tastes, without mass advertising.
Do you have a physical store or showroom where I can see the pieces?
Lulé Lulé Bags operates entirely online: the official international store is at lulelule.co and direct sales are handled via WhatsApp.
3. Purchasing and shipping
How to buy, payment methods, shipping times and costs, returns.
How can I buy a Lulé Lulé bag?
There are two ways to purchase. The first is directly through the online store at lulelule.co, where you can browse the full catalog, choose your piece, and pay securely. The second is to message us on WhatsApp, where the founder or her team responds personally, guides you on availability, colors, and combinations, and processes your order directly. Many customers prefer WhatsApp because it is more agile and personal, especially for special color pieces or orders with specific requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the main payment methods available through our online store. "We accept Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All three support Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards."
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Lulé Lulé Bags ships to Puerto Rico and the United States, which are the brand's active international markets. If you are in another country, message us directly on WhatsApp, and we will find the best way to get your order to you.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Every Lulé Lulé piece is handmade, and collections are small, so availability varies. If you have any issue with your order — a product defect or a shipping error — write to us immediately on WhatsApp, and we will resolve it. To avoid any doubts before purchasing, we recommend reaching out first about measurements, colors, and availability, that way you can be sure you are choosing exactly what you are looking for.
Can I track my order after purchasing?
Yes. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive tracking information. If you purchase through the online store, tracking is sent automatically. If you purchase through WhatsApp, we send it to you upon confirming dispatch. If you have any questions about the status of your order, write to us directly.
Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Lulé Lulé Bags does not offer mass discounts. This is not a commercial policy — it is a brand integrity decision. A discount on a handcrafted leather piece does not generate more sales; it generates doubt about the original price. What we do offer is early access to frequent customers when new limited-collection pieces become available, and personalized guidance for anyone who wants help choosing before purchasing.
4. Customization
Custom orders, available colors, and special production times.
Can you make custom or made-to-order bags?
Lulé Lulé Bags does not offer mass custom production, but we do receive inquiries for special orders. If you have a specific piece in mind — a particular color, a different detail, or a specific combination — message us on WhatsApp, and we will evaluate it based on workshop availability and materials. We don't promise that everything is possible, but we do promise that every inquiry gets an honest answer.
Can I choose my bag's color, or are only the colors shown in the store available?
The available colors are those shown in the online store and on the brand's Instagram at any given time. Collections are small and bold colors are limited editions — when they sell out, they are not always repeated. If you have questions about whether a specific color is available or whether it could be produced again, message us directly on WhatsApp.
How long does it take to make a Lulé Lulé bag?
Pieces available in the online store are ready for immediate shipping or within the production times indicated on each product. For special orders, production time varies depending on the complexity of the piece and the workshop's current load — generally between 2 and 4 weeks. We always confirm the timeline before you place the order.
5. Sustainability and craft
Leather origin, local impact, artisan vs. industrial process.
Is Lulé Lulé Bags an artisan or industrial brand?
Lulé Lulé Bags is 100% artisan. Every piece is made by hand in the brand's own workshop in Medellín, by a specialized artisan team trained in leather goods. There are no industrial production lines, no mass subcontracting, no series production. Collections are kept small by decision — it is the only way to maintain the level of attention each piece requires. That is what Artisan Knowledge means: it is not a tagline, it is a description of the real process.
How does buying a Lulé Lulé bag support the local economy?
Every Lulé Lulé bag purchased is a direct contribution to Colombian artisan leatherwork. The brand's workshop employs specialized craftspeople in Medellín, the founder buys leather from local Colombian suppliers, and the entire supply chain operates within the country. Buying Lulé Lulé Bags is not just acquiring a quality piece — it is sustaining a craft with history, in a city with a deep tradition in leather and fashion, with people who do things well because they truly know how.
Does Lulé Lulé Bags' leather have any certification or quality standard?
The leathers used in Lulé Lulé Bags come from Colombian suppliers with an established track record in the industry. The selection is not made based on a checklist — it is made with direct judgment: the founder touches, evaluates, and chooses every leather before it enters the workshop. There is no marketing certification behind that decision: there are years of experience selecting materials to create pieces that last.
Why do Lulé Lulé Bags cost what they cost?
The price of a Lulé Lulé bag reflects three real things: the cost of premium leather selected by hand, the specialized artisan work that goes into making each piece in the Medellín workshop, and the design judgment of a founder trained in brand design and creative direction. No intermediaries are inflating the price, no hollow luxury markup. What you pay for is exactly what is there: good materials, skilled hands, and a design with a real story behind it. A Lulé Lulé bag is not an expense — it is an investment in something that will last for years.
